We got our golf car* delivered this past Wednesday. Before we could drive it though, we had to get it registered with the SCDMV (one time fee of $5) and with the HOA. We did all that Wednesday, plus got our drivers licenses, registered our car and registered to vote, all at the DMV (one-stop shopping in South Carolina).
I know that moving into our new home 'put' us in South Carolina, it did not feel permanent until we got a SC drivers license and license plate. So, we are now officially South Carolinians !!
From what we have been told, when you move to South Carolina, your IQ drops 20 points. Let us know if that happens the next time you see us !!
* From what I have read, they should have never been called golf carts because a cart is not self propelled.

We are no longer homeless !!
It's official: we closed on July 8th and moved in on July 9th. The area is called Indian Land, but since it is not incorporated, we have to have a Fort Mill address (Post Office guidelines). We are not far from North Carolina: going due north, about 6 miles and going due east, about 3 miles and about 25 miles due south of downtown Charlotte.
There was one more photo I wanted to include: Caroline in her new (used) golf cart. We bought it today, but there is one part we wanted different. It had to be ordered from the factory, and that will take almost 2 weeks. There was mounting pressure to get this post out, so check back in about 2 weeks for the golf cart post.
