In and around Sedona, Arizona
We spent the month of May in Sedona. It is know for it's outstanding red rock formations. As you will see in some of the photos, everywhere you go, they are visible. And, at 4,500', the weather is quite pleasant, even in the summer.
The main drag through Sedona.
Going north out of town.
Courtyard in one of the nicer
shopping areas.
This and the next 4 photos from
some of the overlooks
throughout Sedona.
Snoopy and Woodstock.
Can you see them in the center
of the photo ? Snoopy is lying
down with his feet to the right
and on his nose is Woodstock.
It doesn't show up very well in
photos, but in the upper left corner
is a small rock that actually looks
like Lucy.
I wouldn't ordinarily take a picture
of McDonalds, but do you notice
anything different about this one ?
The color of the 'Golden Arches.'
They are turquoise.
The only ones in the world that color.
Sedona decided the yellow arches
would not fit in with the town's
'natural' image, so they made
McDonalds change the color.
