Tracy takes her art to Bethany Beach, Delaware/A few SC photos
We wanted to visit my brother and sister in Delaware this summer and Tracy wanted to go. When she found out there was an art festival in September, we planned our trip to coincide with it.
On our way, we got this photo of the Navy's guided missile destroyer the Oscar Austin going over one of the tunnel sections of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
At least they could have had the guide book in color. It had a good turnout: over 100 artists attended.
Bethany Beach's trade mark: a totem pole at the entrance to the main shopping/beach area.
This is where the boardwalk along the beach begins.
From the boardwalk looking back towards the totem pole.
Looking south.
The start of the center section of the festival.
Same area, just from the other direction.
I think this might have been the overflow crowd. It's way at one end the the boardwalk along a side street.
One section of the boardwalk. The ocean is to the right.
You can see how close the ocean is.
Tracy's tent; that's my sister Andrea and Caroline.
More of her art work. It was hard to get good pictures; there was not much room between the tents.
The entertainment. There always seems to be a pan flute player at thesetype of festivals. They were good.
The next day was perfect to be at the beach. This is looking north.
Looking south.
Back in South Carolina. This was taken just before sunset on the 25th right after a storm passed by.
Same time, but looking north.
This was a few weeks ago. It went from this...
to this in less than 5 minutes.
Caught this tiny (2") tree frog clinging to our front door a couple of days ago.
