On our way to Maine

We left Delaware on August 3rd and made a quick stop at Gettysburg National Battlefield in PA. The first 4 pictures are from that visit.

Next stop was one of the firsttowns you come to alongthe coast of Maine: Kittrey
and one of its harbors.

One of the beaches. Some are justrocky, some are sandy and some areboth. This one was both.

This one was all rocks. Yikes, theyactually lay on the rocks; at leastthe rocks are all smooth !!

The Nubble Light at CapeNeddick  Light Station. Couldn't getany closer to the lighthouse; it's onan island. What a handsome couple !

Next was Kennebunkport.This the George Bush Sr. place atWalker Point.

We like to visit lighthouses (you'd never guess, since this is the 3rd one already) and at Rockland is the Rockland Breakwater Light. It's out on a jetty 0.8 miles into Penobscot Bay.

We are now at our first stop in Maine; a little lobstering (is that a real word ??) town of Stonington. We arrived yesterday August 8th. Only have a few pictures right now, but check back in a few days.
